The DIY Stain Remover That Removes Everything

Have you ever bought an adorable baby outfit only to have your baby ruin it on the first wear? What about those nasty blowouts that never seem to come out? This homemade stain remover has worked wonders for us. It is super easy to make and uses common ingredients that most people already have in their homes. What's better than that!?

I have spent countless hours scouring the internet for something that would remove set in stains from baby clothes, and more countless hours washing and re-washing clothes only to find the stain never really seems to come out. I found several homemade recipes that included blue Dawn and knew it had to be the secret ingredient. After several rounds of experimenting, I finally found the ratio that removes pretty much everything including year old set in stains. Trust me, I pulled out some of Lela's old clothes and tried it because I was that excited. Here is the recipe for my magic stain remover-
Ingredients
1 TBSP Blue Dawn
1 TBSP Baking Soda
2 TBSP Hydrogen Peroxide

Directions
Add all of the ingredients to a small bowl and mix well. Apply the solution liberally to the stain. I sometimes use a toothbrush to scrub it in if I know it's going to be a tough one. Let the solution sit on the stain for at least two hours (seriously, one hour is not long enough!) After the two hours is up, wash like normal in your washing machine. Check the clothes before throwing them into the dryer. If the stain is still there, treat again then wash before throwing in the dryer.
I'm not really even sure what's on these shorts except that it's been there a long time!
Let me know if you use this recipe and if it works for you! I'd love to hear what kind of stains you're tackling!

Cheers!
Mandy
