July Happenings

The past month has been crazy! We celebrated Father’s Day, Austin and my 5 year anniversary and Lela hit her 18-month milestone! Here is what we’ve been up and the things that we can’t live without!

For Babe
I’ve been eyeing a Slumberkin for Lela since I first saw them on Shark Tank. They are the softest lovey’s that come with cute little stories that help kids deal with different things throughout childhood. Lela’s Slumberkin is the rose Bigfoot and his story is about promoting positive self-esteem and self-worth. Our favorite baby boutique, Sweet Tea and Caviar has a great selection of them. If you decide you need one (trust me, you do!) mention that we sent you in the notes at checkout!
For Babe Part II
You guys, its been HOT this summer! We love being outdoors, so we’ve been slathering Lela up with Babyganics SPF 50 multiple times a day. I’ve tried several different sunscreens for her, but this one is by far my favorite. It stays on when we’re at the pool but not so well that I can’t wash my hands afterward. There is nothing that I hate more than lathering her up and feeling like I get it off my own hands!

Snacking On
Did you all catch my Baby Yogurt Melt post? Lela ate that entire bag in about two weeks! That was by far her favorite batch. I think next time I’m going to try mixing up some strawberry-banana-spinach melts.
I mentioned before that my dad is battling bladder cancer, so Lela and I made him a fun “get well soon” card to let him know we were thinking about him. I glued some googly eyes to a band-aid and drew some arms and legs on him then let her color on the inside.
We recently decided to take a mini family vacay and are headed down to Branson next month! I’m looking forward to drinking coffee on Lake Taneycomo and blissfully laying by the pool. We’re taking Lela with us so if you have any 18-month friendly suggestions on things to do send them my way!

What have you guys been up to? I'd love to hear!
